Projections are estimates

Win probabilities, projected scores and player projections come from a statistical model. A 60% projection is expected to be wrong about four times in ten; single baseball games are highly random. How accurate the model has been is published openly on the Track record and Methodology pages, including where it falls short.

Data accuracy

Data comes from third parties and can be late or wrong (for example a late lineup change or a starter scratched after our last update). We correct errors when we find them but cannot guarantee completeness or timeliness.
